Hello everybody as you know, in this moment we are in touch with Turkish students, and as a proyect, we made questions to compare the different cultures. Here I'm going to put the results of the poll we made to Turkish and Basque students. We made the poll "D", and here we will see the biggest diferences between them.
According to the religion, in Turkey, most people is religious or agrees with some believes, whereas in the Basque Country, few people is it. Almost all the Turkish people that has said that is religious, is Islamist, and the few ones of the Basque Country practice the Christianism. Although in Turkey, people sometimes goes to worship places, in the Basque Country almost nobody goes, and here, we can see that in Turkey all of them are different as far as praying is concerned, because some of them go every week, others every month and others very few times.
Talking about the music styles of each country, here there are very similar answers from the people of the same countries. In Turkey, most people listens Hip hop and Pop more or less 3h on average per day, and in the Basque Country, most people listens Ska, Reggae and Rap also for 3h per day.
Concerning school, both schools have more or less 7h of class in a day. We asked from 1 to 5 how much they liked going to school, but here we can see that there aren't any similarities between anyone, all of them are different and they have no relation to each other. Some people like a lot going to school, however there are other that hate going. With reference to what each school offers, Geography is the subject most Turkish like, whereas the Maths are what most Basques like.
Something that amazed me, was to see that all of us, Turkish and Basque people go to extracurricular activities after class, but although almost all of us practice some sport, the difference is that many of us (Basque people) go to somewhere related to the school like english, maths... and many of them (Turkish people) do somethig related to music.
As regard the different gastronomy we have in the different countries, most of them agree that the most famous food in Turkey is the Kebab, and is something they like a lot. In the Basque country, also most of us agree that are the black beans what some of us like and others no.
To conclude, Turkish and Basque people are different in many aspects like music, extracurricular activities..., but according to school there are some similarities.
